Petunias Arrive at Greenhouse

Every year for the last 15 years the greenhouse has always been filled with flowers. Randy takes his students to plant, and sell the flowers. Pots are 20 dollars a piece. They go out the Monday before Mother’s Day and are normally gone before Friday. Some of the money that is made from selling the plants goes to fund students activities and programs. Also, the money goes to buying the supplies for pottery.  The petunias are self-pruning, meaning the spent blossoms don’t need to be picked off, they fall off on their own. The will bloom late into October and November.
