In the beginning there was orientation. Orientation is when you get back into the swing of school and learn everything you need to prepare for the year. It tells the expectations and times the classes start and end.

You go to all your classes and find out how the grading will be done and the rules and expectations for the year. It’s important to find out who you can sit by without talking all the time to avoid getting sent to SSR. SSR is where you go when you get in trouble. In SSR Tara talks with you and helps you debrief what happened.

A big part of orientation is getting to know all your teachers, teachers will tell you about their class. Teachers will give you a rubric on what the class work will be like. They will tell you a little about themselves. Teachers are really nice and care a lot about how their kids are doing with the work.

All of this will be within two days and will be pretty nice if you let it be. Geoff is pretty easy-going and does what is best for the school and our future. If you do all your work and are nice to the teachers, your school year will be a good one. It’s good to have friends but don’t let them get in the way of your work.
