Senior’s split wood for cash

Unfortunately, Randy neglected to take photos during the day and didn’t remember till most people had left. So this photo was staged for your convenience.

Sunday, September 18th a small group of seniors along with Randy, Belinda, Bret, Sandy, Jim (Brenda’s husband) and Todd (Belinda’s husband) met early and traveled out to the wood pile in Dover. Multiple staff members had worked the previous weekend cutting the logs into rounds in preparation for the students arrival. Brenda brought her entire family along with an excavator rigged up to split wood. Needless, to say this contraption made quick work of the wood splitting. Everyone involved worked hard at the chore. When finished, two cords of wood were brought to the school to be raffled off as part of the Senior Class fundraiser. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. Tickets can be purchased in the LPOHS office or by most members of the senior class. Proceeds will go towards fun end-of-year activities for the senior class.
