Woodcutting Fundraiser

Desarae Driggers

A neighbor has generously donated a total of ten cords of firewood to the Lake Pend Oreille High Seniorso the past four years. As generous as this donor is, she allows the school’s senior class raffle off all the wood at a price of $5 per ticket or $20 for five. This is the first project of the year that gives a great start in funds towards the senior class trip. Shockingly, this kind lady asks for nothing back in return. It is a wonderful thing to know that there are some people in this world who appear to be generous, caring, thoughtful, and kind. We truly appreciate all that this neighbor has done for us.

On Saturday, September 19, several students arrived at LPO to help gather, chop, and stack firewood. This is an exciting time to get to know one another a little bit better as well. This type of work activity mandates teamwork and patience. Here you can see that there was a ton of labor work done. At the same time, we always manage to find a way in making everything enjoyable without slacking.

We as a school would like to give special thanks to our local neighbor donator for being so generous and kind to our school. We appreciate it!

Here is a start to a wonderful 2015-2016 school year!
