Our favorite math parapro Ed Welch has been at the LPO for seven years.  Ed is not married because of his obsession with fly fishing , for example he went fishing 40 days out of his summer vacation. His favorite fish to catch is bone fish because they are the ghost fish of the sea, they are called that because they are hard to find.

An ideal student in Ed’s eyes is any student willing to learn, when students come into class focused and respectful Ed knows it will be a successful math day.  Peace and quiet is something he enjoys a lot, which explains why he likes to fish and camp.  Ed believes their is no better payoff than working at the LPO because working here, you feel like you make a difference. Some of his favorite things include the Beach Boys, watching Netflix series that Stacee recommends like Breaking Bad, swimming and surfing. Ed has had some pretty big milestones in his life such as having two kids, a boy and a girl and moving to Idaho. His high school experience was good except he has never been to a dance or a prom or asked a girl out, his reasoning was because he was very shy. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac attended the same high school as Ed, Menic-Atherton High, he never had the chance to meet them, sadly.  Ed graduated high school in 1975 . He attended college at UCLA and Idaho State, total he went to college for six years. Baseball is an exciting sport to Ed, his brother was very good at baseball, but he didn't not play professional, Ed didn't do much playing out of embarrassment and shame. Ed wasn't really a sports kind of guy.  His favorite team is the San Fransisco Giants because they were close to his home.  

Ed is well-known as a great math parapro and everyone usually loves working with Ed.  He is always around to lend a helping hand and we all appreciate it.
